Definitions of the terms used (e.g. "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Article 4 of the GDPR.

Collection and processing of personal data
The website operator collects, uses and passes on your personal data only if this is permitted within the legal framework or if you consent to the data collection.
Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, a location data, an online identifier or one or more elements specific to that person.
You can also visit this website without providing any personal information. However, to improve our online services, we store your access data to this website (without personal reference). This access data includes, for example, the file you requested or the name of your internet provider. Due to the anonymization of the data, no conclusions can be drawn about your person.

GDPR and serves the security of us as website operators: Because if your comment violates applicable law, we can be held liable, which is why we have an interest in the identity of the comment or post author.
Google Analytics
This website uses the service "Google Analytics," provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), for the optimization and analysis of our online offering, based on our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. This service (Google Analytics) uses "cookies" – text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google LLC complies with European data protection law and is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active
This website uses IP anonymization. The users' IP addresses are shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other contracting states of the agreement. Only in individual cases is the IP address first transmitted unshortened to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. The IP address transmitted by the browser is not combined with other data stored by Google.
As part of the agreement on processing data on behalf of the client, which we as website operators have concluded with Google Inc., Google uses the collected information to create an analysis of website usage and website activity and to provide services related to internet usage.
The data collected by Google on our behalf is used to evaluate the use of our online services by individual users, e.g. to create reports on the activity on the website, in order to improve our online services.
You have the option of preventing the storage of cookies on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.
Furthermore, you can prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc. by using a browser plugin. The following link will take you to the appropriate plugin: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively, prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about you on this website by clicking on this link (IMPORTANT: Insert opt-out link). By clicking on the link above, you download an "opt-out cookie". Your browser must therefore generally allow the storage of cookies. If you regularly delete your cookies, you will need to click on the link again each time you visit this website.

Data usage when registering for the email newsletter
We only send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter "newsletters") with the consent of the recipients or a legal permission. If the contents of a newsletter are specifically described during registration, they are decisive for the users' consent. Otherwise, our newsletters contain information about our new products, offers and promotions .
- Double opt-in and logging
Registration for our newsletter uses a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to prevent anyone from registering with other people's email addresses.
Newsletter registrations are logged to be able to document the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the registration and confirmation times, as well as the IP address. Changes to your stored data are also logged. - Use of the shipping service provider "Klaviyo"
The newsletters are sent via "Klaviyo", 225 Franklin St, Boston, MA 02110, USA.
The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in these instructions, are stored on Klaviyo's servers in the USA. Klaviyo uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, Klaviyo can use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of sending and displaying the newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Klaviyo does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them themselves or to pass them on to third parties.
We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of Klaviyo. Klaviyo is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield agreement and thus commits to complying with EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have concluded a Data Processing Agreement with Klaviyo. This is a contract in which Klaviyo undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its data protection regulations, and in particular not to pass it on to third parties. You can find Klaviyo's privacy policy here (in English). - Login credentials
To subscribe to the newsletter, all you need to do is provide your email address.
Optionally, we ask you to provide your first and last name. This information is only used to personalize the newsletter. Furthermore, we also optionally ask you to provide your date of birth and salutation. We only use this information to tailor the newsletter content to the interests of our readers. - Statistical surveys and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon," i.e., a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the Klaviyo server when the newsletter is opened. During this retrieval, technical information such as browser and system information, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval, are collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behavior based on the retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.
The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened, and which links are clicked. While this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients for technical reasons, neither we nor Klaviyo aim to monitor individual users. Rather, the evaluations help us to understand the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users. - Online call-out and data management
There are cases in which we redirect newsletter recipients to Klaviyo's websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link that allows recipients to view the newsletters online (e.g., in case of display problems in the email program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, such as their email address, afterwards. Similarly, Klaviyo's privacy policy is only available on their website.
In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on Klaviyo's websites and that personal data is processed by Klaviyo, its partners and service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. Further information can be found in Klaviyo's privacy policy . We also draw your attention to the possibilities of objecting to data collection for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices and http://www.youronlinechoices.com (for the European area). - Termination/Cancellation
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter here at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. This simultaneously revokes your consent to its distribution via Klaviyo and the statistical analyses. Unfortunately, a separate revocation of the distribution via Klaviyo or the statistical evaluation is not possible.
You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of each newsletter. - Legal basis: General Data Protection Regulation
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been in effect since 25 May 2018, we inform you that consent to the sending of email addresses is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, 7 GDPR and § 7 para. 2 no. 3 , or para. 3 UWG . The use of the email service provider Klaviyo, the conduct of statistical surveys and analyses, and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our interest lies in the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and meets user expectations.
We also inform you that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the legal requirements pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. The objection can in particular be made against processing for direct marketing purposes.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact described in section 3.10 or via a link provided in the newsletter.
User rights
As a user, you have the right to receive free information upon request about which of your personal data has been stored. You also have the right to correct incorrect data and to restrict or delete your personal data. If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Deletion of data
Provided your request does not conflict with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g., data retention), you have the right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer necessary for its intended purpose and there are no legal retention periods. If deletion is not possible because the data is required for permitted legal purposes, the data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.
Right of objection
Users of this website can exercise their right to object and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.
